I have recently realized on of the major blessings in my life that i took for granted. Something i think we all take for granted most of the time. This blessing was given to me so i could have a guide with me at all times to show me the right and good path in life. They help me with almost every step i take in life and i can always go to them for guidelines. I am talking about my parents.
Now i know what it sounds like and yes it is cheesy. But i truly believe the Lord gave me my parents for a reason. I never got why kids don't trust there parents more. They are there to help us with life. And i have felt the same way sometimes with "my parents don't understand me or they won't take me seriously". But i have learned that they do know in a way what we are going through and they will understand and try to help. The Lord has blessed me with kind and loving parents who are profound in the gospel to help me and guide me.
A lot of people would misinterpret this post by thinking "wow this guy is sad to be rely on his parents so much" or "this guy needs to man up and deal with life by himself". That is not how it is. I believe that we all need to go through life to learn for ourselves and be self-reliant. But our parents can help us do that. And if our parents can't help for one reason or another the Lord has given us teachers and leaders to help us. And He will listen and help too. He is the greatest guide of all. He is are parent. Our Father. His love is unconditional.
I guess the reason for this post is just to express my thankfulness to the Lord for my parents and to suggest that people should rely on the guides the Lord has given us. They want to help and they will help us grow. Forgive me, this article might be pointless and i am just rambling nonsense but i felt like i should do it.
